ABOUT THE HOSPITAL

It is a health trust subordinate to the Central Norway Regional Health Authority that operates the public specialist health care in the county. The medical department includes cardiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, and geriatrics specialties. The department consists of outpatient and inpatient units and currently has about 150 employees. 

Main responsibilities and expectations

• Cardiological activities include clinical cardiac examination and treatment of inpatients, emergency medical examination, treatment of seriously ill patients, and extensive outpatient activities.

• The examination scope includes echocardiographic equipment, modern TEE machines, hand-held ultrasound devices, pacemaker and ICD controls, and much more.

What’s expected of you

• Required approved specialist training in the field of cardiology and internal medicine.

• Time in internal medicine specialty not decisive.

• To be flexible, responsible and team player.
