MediCarrera is currently offering positions for specialists in Neuroradiology at Sahlgrenska University Hospital, located in the Västra Götaland region, in southwest Sweden.

The Department of Radiology has a strong academic profile and plays a key role in both clinical care and medical education. The hospital is a national referral center for several advanced medical services and is highly active in research, offering unique opportunities for professional growth.

You will be part of a large team of radiologists working across multiple sites, including Sahlgrenska, Östra, and Mölndal hospitals, as well as in regional hospitals throughout Västra Götaland. The department uses the latest equipment and digital systems and is fully integrated with clinical IT solutions.

 
Main Responsibilities:

• Performing diagnostic neuroradiological procedures, including CT and MRI
• Participating in multidisciplinary conferences and clinical decision-making
• Taking part in the department's on-call schedule (shared across multiple hospitals)
• Contributing to ongoing research and teaching initiatives
• Engaging in continuous professional development and cross-collaboration with other specialties

What is expected from you:

• A medical degree and specialist qualification in Radiology with subspecialty experience in Neuroradiology, recognized in the EU
• Interest and/or experience in academic work, including research and teaching
• A professional and collaborative approach to patient care
• Willingness to participate in an intensive Swedish language course provided by MediCarrera
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
• A valid EU driver’s license

Salary and Conditions:

• Months 1–6: 60,000 SEK/month (approx. 5,215 EUR)
• Months 7–12: 75,000 SEK/month (approx. 6,520 EUR)
• After 12 months: Salary negotiated individually as a specialist
• On-call duties are compensated separately
