Job Description

MediCarrera offers positions for specialists in Neuroradiology at Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Sahlgrenska University Hospital is the largest hospital in Sweden and the second largest in Europe, with over 17,000 employees. It is affiliated with the Sahlgrenska Academy at the University of Gothenburg and provides primary, emergency, and specialized care to more than 1.7 million residents in the Västra Götaland region. It is also a leading university hospital with a strong focus on research and innovation.

The Neuroradiology Department is one of seven radiology departments at the hospital. All doctors are subspecialized, and there are excellent opportunities for research and continuous professional development.

 Main responsibilities:

  • MRI and CT diagnostics of acute and chronic conditions in the central and peripheral nervous system, as well as in the ENT area.
  • Participation in clinical rounds and multidisciplinary conferences.
  • Teaching residents and medical students.
  • On-call duties: one doctor on-site at the hospital, with a senior doctor on-call from home during evenings, nights, and weekends.

 
Requirements:

  • Specialist title in Neuroradiology issued or recognized by an EU country.
  • Experience with neck ultrasound is a plus (not mandatory).
  • Team-oriented, collaborative work ethic.
  • Willingness to complete the intensive Swedish language course provided by MediCarrera.

Salary and conditions:

  • Initial six-month contract focused on language training and workplace introduction.
    → Salary: 55,000 SEK/month (approx. €4,780/month)
  • After completion, the position becomes permanent, with a new salary individually negotiated.
