Job Description

Main responsibilities and expectations

  • The oncology department has 14 beds for breast cancer, thyroid cancer, anal cancer, gastrointestinal tumors, and unknown primary tumors. It has a good team working closely together: nurses, nurse practitioners, doctors, dieticians, physiotherapists, care administrators, etc.
  • Your duties will be the usual duties of a nurse in an oncology ward. The treatments provided are mainly radiotherapy, cytostatic therapy, and radionuclide therapy, both curative and palliative.
  • You will receive training in radiation protection and a cytostatic driving license.
  • You can get to take courses at university in general oncology or organ-specific oncology in their working hours.

What’s expected of you 

  • To be a registered nurse. Specialist nurse in oncology and/or experience in oncology care is an advantage.
  • The hospital expects you to work in a person-centered manner.
  • You have to be a team player who can also work independently in your area of expertise.

  • You have the opportunity to influence your schedule, as they place individual plans in minimum ten-week periods in ISP, personal schedule planning. The shift is scheduled for day/evening/weekend.
