ABOUT THE REGION 

The city is located on the east coast of Sweden. It has a humid continental climate with a significant maritime influence. The weather is comparatively mild, with warm summers and moderate winters with daytime highs often hovering around the freezing point. 

ABOUT THE HOSPITAL

The hospital has a wide range of activities in surgery and ICU (surgery, orthopaedics, urology, vascular surgery, gynaecology and obstetrics, ECT, ears, eyes, children, MRI and Xray). There are challenges with different types of patients (awake intubation, patients with high BMI, acute caesarean section, multitrauma, donation). There are opportunities to develop in any of these areas. You can also deepen your knowledge on courses or SFAI training. 

Main responsibilities and expectations

•As an anaesthesiologist, you will work in surgery and intensive care.

•You will also travel to courses and conferences, participate in ST doctor training as a supervisor and participate in the development of the practic

•Other duties include: •Surgical and paediatric patients for onward transport to the appropriate level of care.

•Provide anaesthesia, pain relief, life support and advanced medical care.

•Cope with both patients and their relatives.

•Work with Melior, Psiva and Provisio medical record systems.

What’s expected of you

•You must have at least 2-3 years of practical patient work experience in surgery and ICU.

•You must be interested in trauma care, anaesthesia for acute and planned surgical procedures, obstetric epidurals, emergency and planned cesarean sections, pediatric procedures, adult, pediatric and neo-CPR, and difficult airway and ICU care
