ABOUT THE HOSPITAL
The hospital is located close to the city center of the eastern coastal city of Sweden. The hospital has around 450 employees and is divided into the emergency room, somatic care with internal medication, and a special office with the most common specialties. There are about 130 employees at the emergency clinic, which is divided into the emergency room, intensive care unit, surgery unit, and sterile technic unit. There are five anesthesiologists at the clinic today. Two of the doctors are working daytime during the weekdays at the surgery unit and one at the intensive care. There is also one doctor on call for emergency preparedness for the rest of the time. At the surgery units, there is an elective department with directions toward orthopedics, surgery, and urology. The surgery unit opened in the fall of 2011. There are five operating rooms and three endoscopy rooms with the newest technology. The intensive care department has a four-bed capacity and two of them are equipped for intensive care. The other two are for heart intensive care and supervision.
Main responsibilities and expectations
• As an anesthesiologist, you will work with a team of different professionals in each surgical unit and each emergency department. In the department, they work together with quality and competence in mind.
• The hospital offers a working day that varies in both content and challenge, where you are an integral part of the patient's everyday life.
• The hospital has quick decision-making processes, and a good dialogue between clinics/units and is a small hospital that works according to the motto "continuous improvement."
What’s expected of you
• To have a specialist title in Anaesthesia and intensive care from the European Union.
• EU citizenship or long-term residence permit in the EU.
