Job Description

Our client is a private long-term care and rehabilitation clinic specialising in the rehabilitation of musculoskeletal (orthopaedic and traumatological), cardiac and vascular, neurological and respiratory diseases.

The unit has 73 beds and 80 day hospital places and is located in Carcassonne, a city of around 46,500 inhabitants, 60 km from Narbonne, 90 km from Toulouse and 130 km from Montpellier. Both Toulouse and Montpellier have international airports.

The clinic is equipped with a new technical platform dedicated to heart and respiratory diseases, including an exercise room with telemetric monitoring, a weight room, a gym, a stress test room with an emergency room, an ultrasound room adjacent to the office, balneotherapy, an outdoor walking trail, Holter blood pressure and ECG monitoring, and a therapeutic education room.

Recruitment Context: 
Due to a departure, the clinic is looking for a cardiologist (M/F). You will work with a complete team: 4 MPR doctors, 2 cardiologists, a pulmonologist, and a nutritionist. You will be responsible for coronary, valvular, post-transplant, heart failure, and vascular patients who are monitored at the institution.

Type of contract offered: 
Permanent full-time contract of 35 hours/week (possibility of part-time 80%) and possibility of mixed activity (salaried and self-employed).
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a lunch break
Emergencies and preventative care: Once a week from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. + emergencies according to the schedule (one night per week and one weekend per month, on average. Occasional travel) 

Responsibilities: 
•    Assessment carried out upon admission by the cardiologist (stress test + ultrasound scan)
•    Definition of a personalised and progressive rehabilitation programme
•    Telemetric monitoring
•    Weekly medical consultation (doctor + physiotherapist)
•    Weekly multidisciplinary summary meeting
•    Individualised Interdisciplinary Intervention Project meeting
•    Intermediate stress test, if necessary
•    Stress test before discharge to assess progress made
•    Liaison with family doctor/specialist or other patient monitoring structures. 

Proposed conditions:
.Permanent contract (CDI) annual salary €100,000 / €140,000 gross + emergencies and preventative care
. 6 months of free accommodation 
. Possibility of mixed activity (salaried and self-employed)
. Free support with the registration process with the French Medical Association

Application requirements: 
Medicine and Cardiology Speciality course completed in the EU
EU nationality
Solid knowledge of French (level B2 acquired or in progress) – or willingness to take part in FREE training provided by our agency
