About the Role
As a Cardiologist, you will:
- As a specialist physician in cardiology you will have significant clinical responsibility for patients with heart-related conditions. Your work will include everything from diagnosing and treating heart diseases to actively contributing to the leadership and development of the cardiology team.
- You will have the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment in a highly engaged team, where close collaboration and short decision-making processes allow them to influence both patient care and the strategic development of the unit.
- Your work will vary between the cardiology ward, the cardiac intensive care unit, and the outpatient clinic.
About the Department
The Department treats patients in need of acute or planned medical care.
The department is the largest in the hospital, uniting multiple medical specialties under one roof. It includes various inpatient units specializing in stroke care, acute geriatric care (GAVA), endocrinology, neurology, pulmonology, gastroenterology, nephrology, hematology, and cardiology.
The facilities are well-designed and modern, with a strong focus on patient-centered care. You will work alongside both experienced colleagues and new team members, all highly engaged in their work. The department also includes a dialysis unit, an internal medicine outpatient clinic, and a geriatric outpatient clinic.
With approximately 230 employees, the department emphasizes staff engagement and involvement, ensuring professional growth and equal, high-quality care for patients.
What We Expect From You
- Specialist title in Cardiology.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a structured and professional approach.
- Ability to make well-balanced decisions and set the right priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Salary & Conditions
- Starting salary for a new specialist: 70,000 SEK/month (≈6,152 EUR) gross.
- Average salary for specialist doctors in Sweden: 80,000–110,000 SEK/month (≈7,000–9,600 EUR) gross (duties paid separately).
- Salary is negotiated individually based on years of experience.
- On-call duties from home.
