Are you a child and adolescent psychiatrist or adult psychiatrist interested in working with children with different types of mental illness, such as neuropsychiatric disorder, eating disorder, bipolar disorder or psychotic disorder? Are you a psychiatrist trained in the EU or have worked as a psychiatrist in an EU country for at least 3 years, and are you ready to start a new life and a new career in Sweden?

About the workplace

The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP) department at this University Hospital in Sweden employs around 35 doctors who are specialists, resident and assistant physicians, and in order to meet the need for specialized child and adolescent psychiatric care, we are now actively working to increase this number. You will be greeted by a professional, positive and committed team and will be well supported by experienced colleagues in the clinic. We have interprofessional teams consisting of physicians, nurses, psychologists, counsellors, speech therapists, dieticians, health administrative secretaries and department managers.

You will have flexible working hours, and the clinics are conveniently located in central Gothenburg. The work is development-oriented and there are good opportunities to combine clinical work with research. Individual training and supervision are a given. BUP is an evolving department, and the physicians have an important place in the exciting development work that is underway.
