ABOUT THE HOSPITAL

Clinical Pathology and Cytology is a county-wide SWEDAC-accredited department within Region. The clinic currently employs about 25 people in several different professional categories. They follow medical developments to provide our customers with a good service of high quality. They are working to become a leader in Sweden in pathology and cytology regarding quality, efficiency and work environment.  

Main responsibilities and expectations

•You will work with histopathological and cytological diagnostics, associated excision work, and fine needle aspirations.

•You will participate in conference activities with many clinical specialists. Supervise and develop histological techniques, including immunohistochemistry.

•You will actively contribute to the department's quality work.

•Autopsies are not performed.

What's expected of you

•To be a physician with specialist competence in pathology and cytology.

•Medical and specialist degrees recognized in the European Union.

•Interested in teamwork and willing to participate in the development of the clinic.

•Be able to complete the intensive Swedish language course, which is a part of the MediCarrera program.
