Bologna Health Jobs Ireland is seeking two  consultants   in radiology for two of the leading hospitals in the south of the Ireland.

Profile:  We are looking for consultants in  General radiology, consultants in radiology with special interest in interventional radiology, breast radiology, and neuroradiology .

General skills required:

Interpretation of medical images:

* X-rays, Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), ultrasound, PET, etc.

* Identification of complex and subtle pathologies.

Specialized knowledge:

* Subspecialization in areas such as musculoskeletal radiology, interventional radiology, pediatric radiology, breast radiology,  neuroradiology...will be a plus.

Clinical decision-making:

* Determining which imaging studies are appropriate.

* Integrating radiological findings with clinical information.

* Writing detailed and understandable reports for attending physicians.

* Explaining complex findings to non-radiologist colleagues. • Active participation in multidisciplinary meetings (MDT meetings).

• Close collaboration with oncologists, surgeons, internists, etc.

• Training of resident physicians, technologists, and healthcare personnel.

• Active role in continuing medical education.

- This candidate will be part of the consultant team and will be one of the key personnel in the department. Therefore, they will hold a leadership position and act with complete autonomy.

- The gross base salary is 235-283.5K gross per year. + €40,000 in on-call shifts, with the potential to earn up to €320,000 gross per year.

- 30 days of annual leave + 10 additional vacation days.

- €8,000 per year grant for innovation projects.

Requirements:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the medical profession, of which at least 5 must be in radiology (including specialist training).

- Very high level of English (B2-C1).

- Registration with the IMC in the Radiology Specialist Register. We will assist all candidates with this if they are not already registered. We are one of the few agencies that will actually review all your documents to ensure this, both for IMC registration and all the necessary paperwork to begin working in a hospital. 

- All unregistered candidates must be qualified as radiology specialists in the European Union (CVs without this requirement will not be considered) or, alternatively, must have held a recognized specialist qualification in an EU member state and practiced for 3 years from the date of recognition if they are from outside the EU.
