The organization has a robust healthcare workforce comprising approximately 700 doctors, 2,200 nurses, and 1,200 nursing assistants. The organization is seeking medical specialists across various specialities and is a major employer in Värmland, with a workforce of over 7,400 employees. ABOUT PRIMARY CENTERS
Swedish healthcare, including that in Värmland, is known for its high quality and adherence to strict regulations and quality standards. The healthcare system is designed to provide equal access to healthcare services for all residents. Like the rest of Sweden, Värmland has a publicly funded healthcare system. This means that healthcare services are funded by taxes and are generally accessible to all residents, regardless of their income or insurance status. Swedish primary health care is today expected to apply knowledge-based care, which requires continuous ability development, where methods shown to be less effective are replaced with better ones. An important part of the general medicine specialist’s work is systematic quality development and self-training based on their operations.
An average Swedish general medicine specialist’s work includes giving priority on the basis of medical urgency. Switching between short acute visits, longer dialogues and home visits, and monitoring over a long period of time an individual's various health problems as well as assessing and taking into account the person's entire living situation. At general medicine clinics there is usually equipment for minor surgery and various types of examinations, which in many other countries are carried out in hospitals or specialist clinics. Adequate referral to other specialists is therefore only referrals for issues in which special equipment is required or in an unusual or difficult-to-treat condition, in which another specialist is necessary.
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES
The primary care's mission is growing and changing. There is an exciting future ahead, where the focus should be more on easily accessible care, smart digital solutions and care close to the patient. The aim is to offer the best possible care to participating patients and as well as protecting a good working environment for all employees.
At the primary care centres the patients are offered assessment, investigation, treatment, follow-up and rehabilitation to varying extents depending on the disease and symptoms.
The health center offers care at different levels in all stages of life. The health centers in the northern Värmland have a sparsely populated area mission. An assignment which means that they primarily receive most people who apply for an assessment and/or emergency interventions. The task thus becomes more interesting, more developing and more rewarding.
