Main Responsibilities and Expectations
Acting as the first point of contact in healthcare, independently assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients, and determining when referral to specialist care is required.
Independent management of patient consultations at the primary care center, including acute visits, chronic disease follow-ups, preventive care, and health assessments.
Providing medical care and follow-up for patients in nursing homes and elderly care facilities.
Supervision, mentoring, and clinical guidance of medical students, physicians in training, and other healthcare staff.
Conducting lifestyle-oriented and preventive healthcare work, focusing on long-term health promotion and disease prevention.
Clinical decision-making and care planning in close collaboration with multidisciplinary, diagnosis-focused teams within the primary care center.
Collaboration with external authorities and stakeholders regarding home healthcare, sick leave certification, unemployment-related matters, and social services.

What Is Expected of You
At least one year of experience working as a specialist physician.
A flexible, social, empathic, and driven personality, with a genuine interest in teaching and supervising others.
Willingness to participate in a structured introduction program to the Swedish healthcare system.
Ability and motivation to progressively assume increased clinical responsibility, with the goal of independently managing full responsibility at the primary care center after approximately two years in Sweden.
Capacity to supervise and mentor physicians in training once full clinical competence within the Swedish primary care system has been achieved.
