Job Description

ABOUT THE HOSPITAL

In the municipality, there are three primary care centres. One, with approximately 10,500 listed patients, and 86 employees. The second one, with approximately 4,000 listed patients and 14 employees. The third one, with approximately 4,300 listed patients and 13 employees. The first primary care centre is relatively big and is located in a Hospital where there is also a medical outpatient ward, a 24/7 emergency unit and a daycare unit for social services cooperating with the municipality. The centre also has a psychosocial team and a rehabilitation unit. At the other two primary care centres, you will work both independently as well as team-based together with a committed and safe work group consisting of specialist nurses, paediatric nurses, assistant nurses, diabetes nurses, medical secretaries and counsellors. All primary care centres are presitgeless and see teamwork and questions between all professional categories as natural. It is a positive and developing workplace with a strong patient focus and the opportunity to follow the patient through the various phases. You will be part of a committed and safe work group where the strength lies in good and close cooperation with all colleagues. You will work independently with the opportunity to influence and develop the primary care centre. They have extensive experience in receiving co-workers recruited from abroad and are used to supervising doctors in training.

ABOUT THE CITY

It is a city which is famous for its traditional Swedish farmhouses, many of which are listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. These farmhouses are known for their size, unique architecture, and decorative paintings. Also hosts events and festivals, including music and cultural events that draw visitors from other parts of Sweden and beyond. The area is also known for its commitment to sports, with facilities for ice hockey, football, and skiing, among others.

Main responsibilities and expectations

With your specialist skills, you will supervise and support training doctors in their work and be consulted by other colleagues.

You have your own patient reception with physical, digital and telephone visits. Home visits may occur.

On-call/standby shifts can occur outside office hours according to agreement. On certain days, you can be scheduled to work on the day call, which includes both emergency and planned reception visits.

To have medical and specialist titles issued or recognized by the European Union.

To show interest in teamwork and be willing to contribute to the clinic's development.

To be able to complete the intensive Swedish language course, which is part of the MediCarrera program.

Work experience from a primary care centre.

Flexible and willing to learn.

Basic Requirements

*To be a specialist doctor/nurse/dentist with at least 2-3 years of experience and graduated from an EU university.

* To be an EU citizen or have an EU Long-term residence permit.

In case you are not an EU citizen:

* Your diploma has to be homologated in one of the EU countries.

* You need to have at least 2-3 years of experience in one of the EU countries after the title homologation.

* Long term residency from an EU country.
