MediCarrera is currently offering exciting opportunities for Family Medicine specialists (General Practitioners) at Vimmerby Health Center, located in the charming town of Vimmerby in the Kalmar region of Sweden.

 
Free Swedish Language Course (Included in the Program)
To support your successful integration both professionally and personally, MediCarrera provides a fully sponsored intensive Swedish language course with two options:

1) On-site course:

• Free apartment for you and your family
• All expenses covered
• Daycare/language support for children
• Monthly scholarship of €1,200

2) Online course (for you and your partner):

• Monthly scholarship of €1,200
   

About the Role
Vimmerby Health Center is the largest primary care facility in the region, offering a collaborative, development-focused environment with multidisciplinary teams. As a Family Medicine specialist, you’ll deliver high-quality patient care, participate in innovative healthcare initiatives, and engage in community-focused services across all ages.

Main Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments, diagnosis, treatment, follow-up, and rehabilitation
• Handle a variety of medical issues, from acute interventions to chronic condition management
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including nurse-led clinics
• Participate in preventive care, elderly care, home visits, child health, and quality improvement projects
• Act as the first medical contact point for the local population, making your role diverse and deeply rewarding

Option to supervise junior doctors or trainees
 
Requirements

• Medical degree and Family Medicine specialty recognized within the EU
• Willingness to complete MediCarrera’s Swedish language training
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience
• Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a structured, patient-focused environment
   

Salary and Conditions

• Monthly gross salary: 80,000 – 110,000 SEK (approx. €7,000 – €9,600), depending on experience
• On-call duties often compensated separately
