MediCarrera is currently offering exciting opportunities for Family Medicine specialists (General Practitioners) at primary care centers located in the scenic and peaceful Northern Värmland region of Sweden, covering the towns of Hagfors, Munkfors, and Likenäs.

Free Swedish Language Course (Included in the Program)
To support your successful integration both professionally and personally, MediCarrera provides a fully sponsored intensive Swedish language course with two options:

1) On-site course:

• Free apartment for you and your family
• All expenses covered
• Daycare/language support for children
• Monthly scholarship of €1,000

2) Online course (for you and your partner):

Monthly scholarship of €1,200
 
About the Role
The primary care centers in Northern Värmland are undergoing an exciting transformation with a strong focus on patient-centered care, smart digital solutions, and sustainable work environments. As a Family Medicine specialist, you’ll be at the heart of a supportive team, delivering high-quality care across all ages and life stages.

Main Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments, diagnosis, treatment, follow-up, and rehabilitation
• Handle a variety of medical issues, from acute interventions to chronic condition management
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and nurse-led clinics
• Participate in preventive care, elderly care, home visits, child health, and quality improvement projects
• Act as the first medical contact point for rural populations, making your role diverse and deeply rewarding
• Option to supervise junior doctors or trainees
   
  Requirements
• Medical degree and Family Medicine specialty recognized within the EU
• Willingness to complete MediCarrera’s Swedish language training
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a structured and patient-focused setting 

Salary and Conditions

• Starting salary: 84,500 SEK/month (approx. €7,200) before tax for newly graduated specialists
• Salary set individually based on experience
