Job Description

Are you an internal medicine specialist looking for a unique opportunity to work in Iceland for a period of time?

We are currently recruiting internal medicine specialists for a hospital in Iceland. Physicians with a subspecialty in internal medicine are also welcome to apply, but the position is centred on general internal medicine.

The assignment is flexible and can be tailored to your preferences. Whether you are interested in staying for a year or longer, taking on a 4–5 month assignment, or working on a rotation schedule such as two months on and two months off, we would be happy to hear from you.

Your responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose and treat patients with a broad range of internal medicine conditions
  • Manage patients in inpatient wards, outpatient clinics and, when required, the emergency department
  • Work closely with colleagues across specialties to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Contribute to clinical development, quality improvement and the supervision of resident doctors

We are looking for someone who

  • Is a board-certified Internal Medicine Specialist with an EU/EEA medical licence
  • Has a good command of English, both spoken and written
  • Enjoys working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Is looking for new professional challenges and international experience
