Healthcare Assistant Career Pathway in the Netherlands

Requirements

• Legal right to live and work in a European Union country

• Training or experience in healthcare, care homes, hospitals, home care or similar settings

• Availability to attend an intensive Dutch language course

• Empathy, responsibility and professional maturity

• Motivation to build an international career in healthcare

 

Main responsibilities

• Support clients with daily living activities

• Provide assistance with hygiene, comfort and mobility

• Support meals, positioning and daily routines

• Observe changes in clients’ physical and emotional wellbeing

• Report relevant information to the nursing team

• Work closely with healthcare professionals

• Contribute to a safe, organised and person-centred care environment

• Promote clients’ dignity, independence and quality of life
