Medicarrera is offering a position for a nephrologist at a public hospital located in Southern Denmark.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in the development of nephrology and the department.
  • Assume independent responsibilities within the specialty, in close collaboration with the lead physician.
  • Collaborate closely with other medical specialties and functions within your field.
  • Participate in the nephrology on-call rota (5 shifts) to a limited extent.
  • Promote interdisciplinary cooperation based on patient-centered care.
  • Maintain flexibility in the functions and responsibilities of the department.

  •  Full salary from the start of employment, even if Danish language training is required.
  • Danish language training is organized through the local coordinator, and courses typically start twice a year.
  • Salary and employment terms according to the current agreement between the Danish Regions and the Association of Specialist Doctors.

About the hospital:
The hospital has a Department of Medical Diseases, divided into 4 sections distributed across 3 sites. Each section is led by a senior consultant and supported by senior physicians with specific areas of responsibility. The main areas are:
Diabetes, Hormone, Kidney, and Geriatric Diseases: includes two wards (one for Diabetes, Hormones, and Kidneys and another for Geriatric Diseases), as well as outpatient clinics in all these specialties. It also features a hemodialysis unit and a medical outpatient clinic for wound care.
Pulmonary and Gastrointestinal Diseases: has two wards and outpatient clinics in both specialties, along with an endoscopy function across the different sites.
Medical Reception and Day Hospital in Tønder: focused on the reception of acute medical patients and outpatient diagnostic care.
Cancer, Blood Diseases, and Palliative Care: includes a ward dedicated to palliative care and specialized outpatient services, as well as an external palliative care team.
