ABOUT THE HOSPITAL

The neurology department works together with a neurologic rehabilitation team consisting of an occupational therapist, physiotherapist, speech therapist, dietitian, counsellor, nurses and neuropsychologist. Broad neurological orientation at the clinic provides varied work and the opportunity for development within several neurological diagnoses. There are 5 specialists at the clinic as well as 3 residents, 5 nurses, 1 rehab coordinator, 1 assistant nurse and 4 neuropsychologists. 300.000 inhabitants in the catchment area

Main responsibilities and expectations:

• As a specialist at the neurology clinic, you will work with outpatient care as well as having neurology duties during the daytime.
• To give infusion treatments during the day.
• To offer their patients Botulinum toxin, which they treat dystonias, hemifacial spasms and chronic migraines. They do not treat patients with stroke.
• The work at the outpatient clinic also includes other tasks like follow-up investigations and assessment of referrals from other clinics.
• Tutoring of medical students and residents is included in the work tasks.
• Possibilities to visit patients online, which gives the opportunity to work remotely.

What's expected of you:

• To be a specialist in neurology, with at least 1 year of work experience, meritorious with previous outpatient work and a broad knowledge within the field of neurology and basic knowledge in internal medicine.
• To be able to complete the intensive Swedish language course, which is part of the MediCarrera program.
• To be cooperative, professional, organized, and independent.

Basic Requirements

*To be a specialist doctor/nurse/dentist with at least 2-3 years of experience and graduated from an EU university.

* To be an EU citizen or have an EU Long-term residence permit.

In case you are not an EU citizen:

* Your diploma has to be homologated in one of the EU countries.

* You need to have at least 2-3 years of experience in one of the EU countries after the title homologation.

* Long term residency from an EU country.
