Job Description

Medicarrera offers two positions for nuclear medicine specialists in a public hospital located in the  region of southeastern Sweden. The university hospital in the region is a reference center equipped with advanced, leading-edge technology and fosters a dynamic environment for research and medical development.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop PET/CT operations, which will expand with PET/CT cardiac examinations in 2025.
  • Collaborate with the Radiology Department and the university on research projects and method development.
  • Supervise and train resident doctors and medical students.
  • Participate in the research and development of new radiopharmaceuticals and diagnostic methods.


Requirements

  •  Degree in Medicine and specialization issued or recognized in the EU.
  • Previous experience in the field, preferably in research with publications in nuclear medicine - PET/CT.
  • Effective communication skills and teamwork within a multidisciplinary environment.
    Interest in teaching and supervising residents.

Salary and Conditions

  • No on-call shifts.
  • Start date: As soon as possible, as agreed, after completion of an approved language course.
  • Salary: Between 80,000 and 85,000 SEK gross per month (approximately 7,000 - 7,500 EUR gross monthly).

About the Hospital

The university hospital in the region is the only provider of nuclear medicine diagnostics in the area and features cutting-edge technology, including SPECT-CT and PET/CT scanners. Its close collaboration with the Radiology Department and the university fosters an innovative environment for developing new diagnostic techniques and treatments. Additionally, it is undergoing expansion with a new PET/CT scanner set to be operational in 2025, enhancing its capacity for advanced diagnostics.
