ABOUT THE REGION 

It is the region in central Sweden with a long tradition of innovation and world-leading industries. The area also has good regional and international accessibility and offers a good quality of life. The county is situated in central Sweden by the Baltic coast. It offers good access to Stockholm (90 minutes by train) and other parts of the country.

ABOUT THE HOSPITAL

 The medicine clinic has 21 nurses and 28 assistant nurses. The hospital is now undergoing remodelling and new construction and the clinic will move to new premises in approximately 5 years.

At the clinic there are good possibilities to develop with both internal and external education. There is a well-functioning  team work between health care staff, paramedical staff and specialist doctors. There is an overall good atmosphere within the work group and new staff is always very well taken care of by their colleagues. 

Main responsibilities and expectations

•Each nurse will have a group of 5-6 patients to care for. They work with five patient groups, each with one nurse and one assistant nurse.

•As a nurse, you will be responsible for the planning of patient care with the clinic's assistant nurse, distribution of medicine, documentation and planning for handing over the work before finishing your shift.

•Every morning and every afternoon, all patients will be checked by the nurse to maintain good communication and planning of the care together with the doctor.

•The clinic has an emergency department open 24/7, with many patients with various diagnoses every day. The catchment area has 70.000 inhabitants.

What's expected of you

•To work as a licensed nurse at the medical clinic and its emergency department.

•To have 3 to 4 years of experience with inpatient care and caring for patients with different diagnoses.

•Experience with gastroenterology, nephrology, pulmonology, haematology and stroke is desirable.

•To be flexible, a team player, have good communication skills, handle stress well and be trustworthy and humble.

Basic Requirements

*To be a specialist doctor/nurse/dentist with at least 2-3 years of experience and graduated from an EU university.

* To be an EU citizen or have an EU Long-term residence permit.

In case you are not an EU citizen:

* Your diploma has to be homologated in one of the EU countries.

* You need to have at least 2-3 years of experience in one of the EU countries after the title homologation.

* Long term residency from an EU country.
