ABOUT THE HOSPITAL

The hospital is a well-developed Swedish hospital. The hospital also conducts research, development work and education.

Main responsibilities and expectations

• Work in Ophthalmology with on-call duty. Supervision of junior colleagues is included in the position. They offer a wide range of outpatient care as well as surgical services that include, among other things, cataract, glaucoma, strabismus and eye plastic surgery.
• The position includes assessment, investigation and treatment of children and adult patients in need of eye care at a specialist level.
• The clinic has outpatient clinics in four locations, but the greatest need is in Skövde. They have recently moved into completely newly built premises that support their development opportunities.
• The catchment area for the ophthalmology clinic is 250.000 inhabitants.
• At the clinic, space is given to influence one's own clinical activities, and for those interested in research there is the opportunity to do this. They conduct active research primarily in glaucoma.
