About the position

As a paediatric spine surgeon, you will work with the assessment and surgical treatment of children and adolescents with congenital or acquired spinal disorders. The position involves close collaboration with paediatricians, anaesthesiologists, radiologists and other specialists in a multidisciplinary environment.

Typical responsibilities

  • Assessment and treatment of children with spinal disorders and deformities
  • Surgical treatment of conditions such as scoliosis, congenital malformations and other complex spinal conditions
  • Pre- and postoperative follow-up of patients
  • Collaboration with paediatricians, physiotherapists and other specialists throughout the patient pathway
  • Supervision and mentoring of resident doctors and other healthcare professionals
  • Contributing to professional development and quality improvement within the department
  • Participation in on-call duties and emergency preparedness where required

We are looking for candidates who

  • Are specialists in orthopaedic surgery or neurosurgery with experience in paediatric spine surgery
  • Hold medical authorisation and specialist recognition from an EU/EEA country
  • Have an interest in working in a new healthcare system and adapting to a different clinical environment
  • Have excellent English language skills, both spoken and written
  • Communicate clearly and confidently with patients, parents and colleagues
  • Thrive in a multidisciplinary environment with a high professional standard

Salary

Base salary depending on experience, typically around €233,000–€280,000 gross per year.
