Job Description

MediCarrera offers 4 positions for specialists in pathology in the south of Sweden.

Main Responsibilities and Expectations

  • Conduct independent reporting in pathology.
  • Provide expertise in cytology and head and neck pathology (highly desirable).
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues, lab technicians, and IT personnel.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary conferences with clinical colleagues.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and patient-centered care.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and development within the pathology department.

What Is Expected of You

  • Hold medical and specialist titles issued or recognized by the European Union.
  • Be collaborative and a team player.
  • Experience with cytology, head and neck pathology is an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Ability to complete the intensive Swedish language course, which is part of the MediCarrera program.


Salary and Conditions

  • Start employment with Swedish B2 level as an assistant during the introduction phase.
  • Minimum salary for a new specialist: 75,000 SEK/month.
    The average salary for specialist doctors in Sweden ranges between 80,000 and 110,000 SEK/month (7,000–9,600€) gross, with duties paid separately.
    Salary is determined individually based on the specialist's years of experience.
