As the Senior Director, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across the Cardiovascular Nursing Division, ensuring the delivery of safe, evidence-based, patient-centred care while supporting organisational goals and continuous service improvement.
The Role
You will be responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and development of the Cardiovascular Nursing Service, providing 24-hour accountability for clinical operations. Working closely with executive leadership and multidisciplinary teams, you will oversee quality, patient safety, workforce planning, financial performance, and strategic initiatives to ensure the highest standards of care are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Cardiovascular Nursing Division.
Lead, mentor, and support nursing managers and multidisciplinary teams.
Drive quality improvement, patient safety, and evidence-based clinical practice.
Develop and monitor departmental objectives, operational plans, budgets, and key performance indicators.
Ensure compliance with recognised international healthcare quality and accreditation standards.
Collaborate with clinical and executive leaders to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.
Lead workforce planning, recruitment, succession planning, and professional development initiatives.
Promote innovation, research, and continuous improvement across cardiovascular services.
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence throughout the nursing division.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
Master's Degree in Nursing or a related healthcare discipline (Doctorate preferred).
Minimum 11 years of post-registration clinical experience.
At least 5 years in a senior nursing leadership or management position.
Extensive experience within Cardiovascular Nursing in a 350+ bed accredited hospital.
Current professional nursing licence.
Strong leadership, operational, financial, and quality management experience.
Excellent communication, decision-making, and people management skills.
Fluent in spoken and written English.
