Job Description

Medicarrera offers two positions for Psychiatrists in central Sweden!
We are looking for Specialist Psychiatrists to join our outpatient adult psychiatry clinic, with the possibility of some duties performed from home. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a collaborative and innovative environment while contributing to clinical improvement and mentoring future medical professionals.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Work at the outpatient adult psychiatry clinic with occasional remote duties.
  • Supervise and tutor younger doctors and students.
  • Engage in clinical improvement work and potential research opportunities.
  • Collaborate with a team-oriented and supportive group of professionals.
  • Complete MediCarrera’s Swedish language program to ensure successful integration.

What We Expect from You:

  • Psychiatry specialization officially issued or recognized by a European Union (EU) member state.
  • Strong team player, with excellent collaboration and communication skills.
  • Commitment to professional growth and clinical development.
  • Willingness to relocate to Sweden and complete the required language training.

Salary & Conditions:

  • Starting salary for a new specialist with no experience: 70,000 SEK/month (approx. 6,152 EUR gross).
  • Average salary for specialist doctors in Sweden: 80,000 – 110,000 SEK/month (approx. 7,000 – 9,600 EURgross), with additional compensation for on-call duties.
  • Salary is determined based on experience and qualifications.

About the Clinic:
Our Psychiatric Clinic offers a wide range of services across multiple locations in central Sweden. Our facilities include:

  • Inpatient care with a 24/7 emergency department and four wards with 58 beds in a modern facility.
    Forensic psychiatry unit with 24 beds.
  • Specialized units for first-episode psychosis (NIP), digital ADHD clinic, geriatric psychiatry, LARO (opioid substitution therapy), eating disorder care, and brain stimulation treatment.
  • A commitment to comprehensive and innovative psychiatric care for patients across all psychiatric diagnostic areas.
