MediCarrera offers an exciting opportunity for a psychiatrist in a public hospital located in  southern Sweden. The hospital features several newly renovated wards, a modern dialysis unit, and an updated ambulance intake. Additionally, the facilities for surgery and intensive care clinics are also newly built, contributing to a pleasant work environment that emphasizes employee development and well-being.

The Psychiatric Clinic is one of three adult psychiatric clinics in the area. With the goal of "equitable psychiatry," the specialist psychiatry in the region is committed to providing equal and resource-efficient psychiatric care, ensuring high patient safety, medical quality, and accessibility. The clinic fosters a collaborative atmosphere, enabling you to work alongside a diverse team of professionals, including doctors, nurses, psychologists, social workers, and rehabilitation coordinators.

Requirements:

  •  Specialist doctors must have obtained the Psychiatry title from an EU country or homologated their titles in the EU.
  • Ability to complete the intensive Swedish language course, which is part of the MediCarrera program.
  • Capacity to work both in a psychiatric team and independently.
  • Experience in outpatient and inpatient care, as well as on-call experience, is desirable.
  • Ability to remain calm and stable in rapidly changing circumstances and to plan and structure your work while considering the best interests of the organization.
    Clear communication skills, flexibility, and a strong emphasis on patient contact and teamwork are essential.

Main Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Provide clinical psychiatric care in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
  • Participate in on-call duties as required (standby at home).
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Foster a supportive environment for patients, ensuring high-quality care and safety.

2) Fully Online Language Course:For those who prefer to remain in their home countries while studying, we offer an intensive online course. Scholarships of €1,200 per month.

  • We find you a place to live and help to register your children in a school or kindergarten.
  • We assist you with practical matters, such as obtaining a social security number, medical card, bank accounts, etc.
  • We support your spouse with resources for job searching.
  • We coordinate with the moving company and arrange the moving trip.
  • You will receive an information package with practical details and a contact person to call in case of any problems.
