Job Description

MediCarrera is currently offering an exciting opportunity for  Neuroradiologist Specialists at Sahlgrenska University Hospital, located in Gothenburg (Göteborg), Sweden.

About the Role
Sahlgrenska University Hospital is a well-established, teaching hospital affiliated with the Sahlgrenska Academy, and is among the largest hospital systems in Sweden. The neuroradiology department handles both acute and chronic MR and CT diagnostics in central and peripheral nervous system disorders, as well as ENT (ear-nose-throat) work. There are also opportunities for research, teaching of residents and medical students, and participation in multidisciplinary conferences. 

Main Responsibilities

  • Perform MR and CT diagnostics for acute and chronic neurological conditions, as well as diagnostic work in ENT
  • Participate in multidisciplinary conferences. 
  • Supervise and teach residents and medical students. 
  • Participate in “roving activities” as needed (e.g. covering different diagnostic areas or locations). 

Requirements

  • Medical degree and specialist/neurospecialist title in neuroradiology recognized (or able to be recognized) within the EU
  • Ability to complete the intensive Swedish language course, which is part of the MediCarrera program. 
  • Collaborative team-player attitude. 
  • Experience with ultrasound neck is a plus but not mandatory. 
     
    Salary and Conditions
  • Minimum salary for a new specialist: 70,000 SEK/month medicarrera.com
  • The average salary for specialist doctors in Sweden is between 80,000 – 110,000 SEK/month (approx. €7,000-9,600), depending on years of experience. 
  • On-call or extra duties compensated separately.
