ABOUT THE REGION 

The region is one of Sweden's provinces, situated in the south part of the country. It offers a rich palette of experiences. It is often called Sweden in miniature just because the rich variety, where nature and the archipelago are constantly present. ABOUT THE HOSPITAL

The hospital has now started the great work of shaping the future of healthcare in the county. During ten years, they will build new facilities and develop work methods and techniques to meet the future needs of healthcare. Core values of the hospital: Commitment, collaboration, and quality.

The radiology clinic in the county is placed in two different cities. The catchment area is 150 000 inhabitants, and they conduct approximately 110 000 examinations per year. At the clinic, there are 21 doctors, of which 6 are residents, 45 radiographers, 10 assistant nurses, 4 medical secretaries, 2 hospital physicists and 2 radiology engineers. The clinic has the most available modalities, such as conventional radiology, ultrasound, computed tomography, MRI (two 1.5 T and one 3 T) and SPECT-CT. Mammography operations are also carried out at the clinic. Between 10.00pm to 7.00am (all days) TMC Sydney reviews x-ray clinic output.

Main responsibilities and expectations

  • The work includes most common tasks in general radiology, such as conventional radiology, CT, ultrasound, fluoroscopy and basic intervention such as drain insertions and nephrostomies.
  • Expertise in MRI and/or nuclear medicine is an advantage. The work includes supervision by resident doctors and sometimes also auscultating medical students.
  • On-call during evenings and weekends is included in the assignment, between 10.00 p.m. and 7.00 a.m. there are duties from home.

  • Specialist or senior consultant in radiology.
  • Safe and stable person with good cooperation skills and structured in your work.
