ABOUT THE HOSPITAL

The rehabilitation clinic has one inpatient clinic and three outpatient wards. One team for pain rehabilitation, one team for brain rehabilitation and one for spinal rehabilitation. Great opportunities to influence the clinic's development and varied work. Opportunity to influence your own work situation as a doctor. At the clinic, there are three specialists, one resident and one doctor assistant about to start the specialisation, nurses, nurse assistants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, counsellors, psychologists, rehab assistant, leisure manager, sports manager, rehab coordinator, medical secretary, and chief secretary. A total of approx. 70 employees.

ABOUT THE CITY

As of 2019, it had a population of 39,234. It is well-connected by rail, with the journey to Stockholm taking about 2 hours and to Arlanda Airport, Sweden's main international airport, no more than 1.5 hours. Culturally, The city is vibrant, and home to various cultural activities such as the Kulturskolan (extramural music, dance, and drama training). The town also features an art gallery, which hosts various exhibitions throughout the year. For tourists, attractions include the old industrial villages, which offer historical insights, handicrafts, and outdoor recreation opportunities. The area is also popular for winter sports, with facilities for downhill skiing and a snowpark.

Main responsibilities and expectations

  • The position can be for both in-patient and outpatient care.
  • Within the inpatient care you work mostly with neurorehabilitation, mainly acquired brain injury and spinal cord injury.
  • In outpatient care with rehabilitation and follow-up of spinal cord injury or rehabilitation of patients with acquired brain injury or rehabilitation of long-term pain, focus on return to work and functioning everyday life.
  • As a specialist, you will, among other things, have overall responsibility for the patient's rehabilitation efforts together with the clinic's medical team to be responsible for referral assessment and prioritisation as well as actively participate and contribute to the development of the clinic. 

What's expected of you

  • Specialist in rehabilitation medicine.
  • Good cooperation skills and appreciate teamwork.
  • Interest in development work.
  • To have medical and specialist titles issued or recognized by the European Union.
  • To show interest in teamwork and be willing to contribute to the clinic's development.
  • To be able to complete the intensive Swedish language course, which is part of the MediCarrera program.

Basic Requirements

*To be a specialist doctor/nurse/dentist with at least 2-3 years of experience and graduated from an EU university.

* To be an EU citizen or have an EU Long-term residence permit.

In case you are not an EU citizen:

* Your diploma has to be homologated in one of the EU countries.

* You need to have at least 2-3 years of experience in one of the EU countries after the title homologation.

* Long term residency from an EU country.
