Currently, we are seeking passionate and teamwork-oriented pathologists to join the dynamic team in Gothenburg, the vibrant second-largest city in Sweden, as well as the slightly calmer, picturesque city of Borås. Your expertise will be instrumental in guiding treatment decisions and improving patient outcomes.

What is being offered?

  • Competitive salary: A base monthly salary of approximately 75,000 - 85,000 SEK (gross). Your final salary will be determined based on your skills and experience. There is a monthly bonus of 4000 SEK if you hold a PhD and 7000 SEK for associate professors (docent).

What do we expect from you?

  • You must hold a medical degree and a specialist qualification in Clinical Pathology recognized in the European Union.
  • Experience and skills: You should have experience in independently preparing pathology reports and a strong commitment to quality improvement.
  • Teamwork and communication: You must be a team player with excellent communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with your colleagues.
  • Dedication: you should be able to commit to and complete the intensive Swedish language course which we will offer to reach a B2 level, and continue learning until you achieve C1 level.
  • A special interest in the head and neck area will be considered favourable.

What does the job entail?

  • A daily schedule of 8:00-16:45 with 45 min lunch break. (40 hours per week)
  • Prepare comprehensive and accurate pathology reports that guide patient diagnosis and treatment.
  • Perform autopsies and discuss complex cases with colleagues.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the pathology department.
  • Collaborate with laboratory technicians, IT professionals, and other healthcare providers.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in clinical pathology and participate in relevant conferences.
