We are seeking Specialist Doctors in Neurology to join the dynamic team in the vibrant, second-biggest city in Sweden, Gothenburg. As a neurologist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with a wide range of neurological disorders. Your expertise will be instrumental in improving patient outcomes and shaping the future of neurological care.

What do we offer?

  • A base monthly salary of approximately 65,000 SEK (gross) for newly specialized doctors, increasing to 70,000 SEK with 5 years of experience. Additional compensation is provided for PhD holders (4,000 SEK) and associate professors/docents (7,000 SEK).
  • Relocation support: We will assist you with finding housing and settling into your new surroundings in Sweden.
  • Language training: we offer a free Swedish language course, completely online, to help you reach a B2 level before you move to Sweden, and continued support until you reach C1 level.

What does the job entail?

  • Conduct comprehensive neurological examinations and evaluations.
  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of neurological disorders.
  • Perform and interpret diagnostic tests, such as EEG, EMG, and nerve conduction studies.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Teaching/mentoring medical students.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in neurology and participate in continuing medical education.

What do we require from you?

  • Medical degree and specialist qualification in neurology recognized in the European Union.
  • Experience in independently diagnosing and managing neurological disorders, especially with a focus on epilepsy, MS, ALS, CNS tumors, motor disorders, and neuromuscular diseases.
  • Strong clinical and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Dedication to providing high-quality patient care.
  • Ability to commit to and complete our extensive online Swedish course in order to reach level B2 before moving to Sweden.
