Join the team of dedicated specialists in Psychiatry at Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Sweden!

Sahlgrenska University Hospital (SUH) is the second-largest university hospital in Sweden, located in the Region of Västra Götaland in Western Sweden. Your expertise will be instrumental in guiding treatment decisions and improving patient outcomes.

Currently, we are seeking passionate and teamwork-oriented psychiatrists to join the dynamic team in Gothenburg, the second-largest city in Sweden. A new, specialized personality disorders unit at the university hospital offers a comprehensive, time-limited, and structured treatment program. Utilizing evidence-based methods like Unified Protocol, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Mentalization-Based Therapy, Emotion Regulation Group Training, and Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Therapy, the unit provides integrated care within a phased approach.

What is being offered?

  • Competitive salary: A base monthly salary starting from approximately 7000 SEK. Your final salary will be determined based on your skills and experience.

What do we expect from you?

  • You must hold a medical degree and a specialist qualification in Psychiatry recognized in the European Union.
  • Experience and skills: You should have experience in independently preparing pathology reports and a strong commitment to quality improvement.
  • Teamwork and communication: You must be a team player with excellent communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with your colleagues.
  • Dedication: you should be able to commit to and complete the intensive Swedish language course which we will offer to reach a B2 level, and continue learning until you achieve C1 level.
