Job Description

MediCarrera offers vacancies for specialist doctors in Radiology to work at Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Gothenburg, Sweden. This leading public hospital has a radiology department spread across three nearby sites and includes specialized units such as mammography. It also has a strong academic focus, with active research and both general and specialist training, in close collaboration with the Sahlgrenska Academy.

The hospital is looking for specialist doctors in Radiology with experience in musculoskeletal (MSK) radiology. Particular value will be placed on interest or previous experience in interventional procedures and participation in research activities. The work is carried out in close collaboration with other healthcare professionals (radiographers, nurses, administrative staff) as well as with other clinical specialties, in a multidisciplinary and scientifically solid environment.

Candidate Profile
We are looking for radiologists who:

  • Hold a recognized specialization in radiology issued in or recognized by an EU country
  • Have experience in musculoskeletal (MSK) imaging
  • Show interest in interventional procedures and clinical research
  • Are motivated to learn Swedish and integrate into the Swedish healthcare system
     

Main Responsibilities

  • Interpret a broad range of radiologic studies, with focus on MSK imaging
  • Collaborate closely with other specialists and healthcare professionals
  • Participate in scientific activities and contribute to continuous development
  • Begin working as an assistant physician at Swedish level B2, while continuing studies to reach C1 level, required for full licensing

Salary and Conditions

  • Monthly gross salary for specialist doctors ranges from 80,000 to 110,000 SEK
    (approximately €7,000 to €9,600), based on years of experience
  • On-call duties are compensated separately
  • Salary is negotiated individually
