SPECIALIST/CONSULTANT RADIOLOGIST

About the position:
We are seeking a specialist or consultant radiologist for a modern hospital in Sweden with 24/7 operations. Here you will work with a broad range of general radiology in a technically advanced environment with modern equipment and strong collegial collaboration across multiple sites.
 
Employment: Permanent, full-time

Duties:
As a radiologist, you will:

- Work broadly within general radiology
- Perform image interpretation and examinations in conventional X-ray, computed tomography (CT), and ultrasound
- Participate in rounds and multidisciplinary conferences (MDC)
- Supervise residents and rotating colleagues
- Participate in on-call duties during evenings and weekends
- Possibility of remote work to the extent that the operations allow

Qualifications:
- Specialist in radiology
- Experience in conventional X-ray, CT, and ultrasound
- Basic competence in ultrasound intervention
- Swedish language at C1 level (or ongoing studies to achieve this)
- Initiated Swedish licensing process, pre-assessed by the National Board of Health and Welfare
- EU medical license
 

Meritorious:

Experience in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)

About the workplace:
You will work at a modern radiology department with:

Equipment: Computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), fluoroscopy equipment, skeletal lab, and ultrasound lab

- Operations 24/7 with both emergency and elective examinations
- Team of approximately 25 specialists/senior physicians and 15 residents in the region
- Operations at several locations with a common organization
- Sectra RIS/PACS with county-wide worklists
- 3 on-call lines: primary on-call, back-up on-call, and remote on-call
- External review via Teleconsult at night
 

The service is jointly organised with an overall manager, scheduler and coordinator, which creates good conditions for collaboration and exchange of expertise. There is close cooperation between different services and a strong team spirit between radiology, clinical departments and the emergency department.
