Betting on technology for people management

The Health area of Randstad Portugal is specialized in the recruitment of professionals for this sector, namely doctors with or without specialty, nurses and pharmacists, among other profiles related to the health area.

Currently, Randstad collaborates with more than 20 private and public hospitals, 20 health centers and 50 private clinics, being responsible for the placement of 270 doctors monthly throughout the country, and with a strong presence in the nursing area, placing a monthly average of 885 nurses to provide health care.

The healthcare sector has been highly impacted by Covid-19, bringing challenges to all organizations. Communicating with talents is one of those challenges, especially at a time when quick responses are needed. Knowing that administrative processes continue to be an integral part of companies, Randstad has developed a solution that has this same mission. Technology at the service of communication between customers, employees and partners, allowing us to meet the needs of all parties. This is a tool that allows Randstad and its clients to manage schedules, plan shifts, record attendance and communicate immediately with their professionals.

This app has made it possible to speed up hiring by communicating in real time with all talents, either with professional information of interest to them, such as working hours or bank of hours, as well as allowing the employee to immediately accept or cancel shifts. These features make it possible to respond to the challenge of the shortage of candidates, opening the possibility of communication not only with current employees but with the "alumni".

This tool contributed to the effective management of more than 200,000 nursing hours per month in vaccination projects at the height of the covid-19 pandemic.

It’s a solution that allows having people in common based groups to quickly accept shifts and schedules depending on their location, availability and interest. Communication that no longer requires emails and drastically reduces administrative work. It is a fast, simple and intuitive product, which allows employees to easily adapt to this new reality and at the same time offers several functions at the touch of a mobile phone. These are features that make it extremely useful in this complicated time of contingency, managing to organize employees safely, quickly and effectively.
