ABOUT THE HOSPITAL

The child and adolescent psychiatry clinic have an inpatient ward with five beds and 24/7 care. They have approximately 140 employees, of which 12 are doctors. Several doctors are from other countries. The clinic have a pleasant working climate with a general will of development. The region conducts a lot of psychiatric research. Several interesting projects are ongoing at our clinic. 

ABOUT THE CITY

The county has a population of 271.000, where of 58.000 are younger than 18. It is the fifth biggest city in Sweden, located 1 hour from Stockholm with a good connection by bus and train. It have several smaller towns, and the child and adolescent psychiatry clinic have, in addition, outpatient clinics in other towns. 
It is predominantly known as an industrial city, but also a retailing and logistics city. Also, it has the largest lakeside commercial and recreational port in Scandinavia. The lake has many islands, and there are tourist boats that go out to them daily in the summer. 

Main responsibilities and expectations

• The position as a child psychiatrist will involve outpatient care, including all kinds of diagnoses that occur within child psychiatry.

• A large part of the mission of a child psychiatrist is to work with diagnoses such as ADHD and Autism.

• Interest in in-patient care is an advantage.


What's expected of you

To be a specialist in child psychiatry, recognized in the EU.

EU-citizenship or long-term residency in the EU.

Be able to complete the intensive language course organized by MediCarrera.

Interested in teamwork and willing to participate in the development of the clinic.

Basic Requirements

*To be a specialist doctor/nurse/dentist with at least 2-3 years of experience and graduated from an EU university.

* To be an EU citizen or have an EU Long-term residence permit.

In case you are not an EU citizen:

* Your diploma has to be homologated in one of the EU countries.

* You need to have at least 2-3 years of experience in one of the EU countries after the title homologation.

* Long term residency from an EU country.
