INFORMATION ON THE JOB

Torsby Hospital is located in the northern part of the region and has  an emergency department that operates around the clock. In new rooms there is an emergency and outpatient unit of all specialties. The hospital is not divided in clinics, but is oriented towards an efficient flow and operates in a way based on patients' needs. We work based on the vision of creating a hospital where we could imagine ourselves as patients.

We are active in the fields of internal medicine, surgery, orthopedics, urology, gynecology, anesthesiology, operations and intensive care, radiology, laboratory, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and palliative care. Operations include both orthopedics and surgery, including endoscopy. There is also a dialysis unit.

SALARY

Full-time employment after an introductory period. Region Värmland applies individual salary setting.

Starting salary for specialist in internal medicine (directly after specialist training and with no experience) in Region Värmland is SEK 67 000 gross income/month (ca. SEK 45 000 net income; ca. 4000 EUR net income). 

Salaries are established individually, according to regional policies and doctor’s experience and education. The contract is a full-time contract with full contributions, insurance paid by the employer. Employment with the public sector gives additional retirement plans with benefits for the family. Annual evaluation with salary change. After introductory period and obtaining the Swedish license to practice and the title of specialist, transition to permanent employment with a new salary, established individually at the level of a specialist doctor. Average specialist doctor salary in Sweden - SEK 86 000 gross / month (SEK 54 000 net = ca. EUR 4600 net).
