2 hospitals in Sweden are in search of 4 Neurology specialists!
About the department
Our department is run by the Neurology section within the area of activity; Specialized medicine 2 and currently has eleven care places, including a monitoring unit, where we treat patients with neurological diseases and strokes. The department also has three daycare places for subacute investigations and a home rehabilitation team that starts from the department and follows stroke patients at home during the first weeks after discharge. The department is located in the hospital's main building, on floor 4, in newly renovated and adapted premises.
Neurology is a team-based speciality where several professional groups collaborate in patient care. Our teams include doctors, nurses, assistant nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, pharmacists, speech therapists and dieticians. Our broad mix of skills is a strength for our business and guarantees adequate team care based on patient's needs.
As the hospital is a teaching hospital, research is viewed very positively. The hospital has been allocated funds from the Region to facilitate the path from doctorate to docent for doctors active in medical education. There are also significant external funds for research linked to the hospital.
Due to retirement, we now need to recruit a new specialist physician/senior physician.
