POSITION DESCRIPTION

  • Job offer for specialists in pathology/cytology. The offer comes from Sahlgrenska University Hospital, Gothenburg. The employer is looking for specialist doctors for Clinical Pathology and Cytology, preferably with at least three years' experience as specialists in their field. Prioritized competences are in cytology, both analysis of submitted material including cervical screening and puncture diagnostics. Skills also important: gastropathology, gynecological pathology, breast pathology, liver pathology, ENT pathology and neuropathology.
  • Clinical pathology unit at Sahlgrenska University Hospital consists of three laboratories (Sahlgrenska, Borås and NÄL/Trollhättan). There is about 100,000 samples per year and there are diagnostics in most subspecialized organ areas. 

SALARY

The salaries are established individually, according to regional policies and doctor’s experience and education. The contract is a full-time contract with full contributions, insurance paid by the employer. Employment with the public sector gives additional retirement plans with benefits for the family. Annual evaluation with salary change.

After a 6 month introductory period and obtaining the Swedish license to practice and the title of specialist, transition to permanent employment with a new salary, established individually at the level of a specialist doctor. Average specialist doctor salary in Sweden - SEK 86 000 gross / month (SEK 54 000 net = ca. EUR 4600 net)
